A group of Neo-Nazis announced plans this week to launch a nationwide poll-watching campaign which looks aimed at creating what appears to be nothing but voter suppression tactics. Adding to the group’s insidious aims, members intend to send out teams of volunteers to hand out marijuana and liquor to Black residents in Philadelphia to keep them away from the polls.

Politico reported on the actions of Neo-Nazi leader Andrew Anglin, who says he and partners from website The Right Stuff are setting up hidden cameras at polling places in Philadelphia. Groups such as the Ku Klux Klan, The National Socialist Movement, and the American Freedom Party are banding together to watch polls for voter fraud although it rings of voter intimidation to some.

Anglin, who serves as editor of the Daily Stormer, told the publication in an email that he and Right Stuff members are hoping to cut down on the “traditional type of voter fraud” although what that means hasn’t been immediately explained by their side. However, Right Stuff was very explicit in their plans to help Donald Trump get closer to securing a win next win by any means necessary.

From Politico:

A senior Trump adviser told Bloomberg Businessweek last month that the campaign is working on a three-pronged voter suppression strategy that includes an effort to depress black turnout. Though other Trump advisers later pushed back on the report, Anglin’s partners say they are hoping to put Trump over the top by doing just that.

“We also have some teams going in to the ghettos in Philly with 40s and weed to give out to the local residents, which we think will lead to more of them staying home. We have had success with this in the past,” wrote the representative of TheRightStuff.biz, who said four teams of two employed this tactic in Detroit during the Democratic primary in an effort to help Bernie Sanders. POLITICO could not independently verify his claims.

Some critics of Anglin, including those from the Anti-Defamation League, say that his plans are flimsy at best. There have been reports that the armed militia group, The Oath Keepers, are enacting a similar voter watch campaign and have the infrastructure in place to actually pull off their plans of voter suppression according to the ADL.
