A federal raid of a rural Texas home last Friday ended with the arrest of a man and woman and seizure of an estimated $75,000 worth of crystal meth.

Thomas Dowling III, 40, and Monika Brackett, 33 are looking at federal drug charges, Assistant Chief Deputy T.J. Cruz said in a press release Friday.

They were taken into custody after the Bell County Organized Crime Unit and the Bell County Sheriff’s Department Tactical Unit executed a search warrant Thursday and seized about 1,500 grams of crystal meth as well as “a large amount of U.S. currency” and several firearms, Cruz said.

The warrant stemmed from an investigation into the distribution of large amounts of crystal meth in the county, he said.
